About Double J Ranch Percherons
Double J Ranch was established in 2003 by Jeff Schulenberg with the sole purpose of producing Grey Percherons that loved to work, whether that be driving on the farm, giving carriage rides around town, or being fussed on by the grandkids. Our Drafts are the quintessential gentle giants with a great work ethic.
For a Percheron to enter our breeding program, we look for a strong, short backed horse with good bone, along with the appropriate height to get the job done. Disposition and stamina are equally important in our program, as well. Then just pour on that gorgeous silver coat and you truly have a horse that anyone would be proud to own, drive or even ride.

Because we live in a community that offers kind and talented Amish trainers, at the appropriate age we send our Percherons out to learn about driving. All our breeding horses are trained prior to being bred. Because of our training policy, when a horse retires or leaves or breeding the Double J Ranch breeding program, they are assured a future career as a driving horse.
